Galxe x Optimism: Optimism Quests

A Perpetual Learn-to-Earn Experience

At Galxe, we’ve built our reputation around helping projects build strong products and communities within the Web3 space. By powering ecosystem campaigns for Solana, Moonbeam, BNB and Arbitrum, Galxe has helped over 800 other projects generate awareness, acquire new users, and engage existing ones.

We especially love powering learn-to-earn campaigns to educate communities so that they thrive in this new decentralized environment. That’s why we are ecstatic to announce our latest ecosystem campaign: Optimism Quests, which invites Web3 users to explore the Optimism ecosystem via a perpetual learn-to-earn model.

Let’s Talk Optimism

An Ethereum-based decentralized platform allowing for instant and scalable smart contracts, Optimism has made waves in the industry not only through its value of simplicity, pragmatism, and sustainability but also through highly impactful projects for brands that don’t have business models to succeed. Through their pioneering “retroactive public goods funding,” Optimism is motivating Web3 entrepreneurs to produce public goods. This model incentivizes the building of open-source programs and pays creators based on the future usage volume of their creations. Until Optimism is fully decentralized, the Optimism Foundation will be directing all profits to the Optimism Collective, an ecosystem built on the belief that healthy public goods are necessary to generate value to token holders, contributors, and community members. In addition to retroactive public goods funding, Optimism has also gained notoriety for their innovative governance experiments related to their Token House and Citizens’ House.

Optimism Quests

Partnering with Optimism to introduce Web3 users to their ecosystem via a fun learn-to-earn model was a no-brainer. The Optimism Quests gives individuals new to Optimism the opportunity to enter the ecosystem risk-free, exploring dApps built on Optimism while earning NFTs along the way.

1. Learn — Users begin by entering the Optimism Quest Hub. Here you will be directed to read short educational content about the participating ecosystem projects. To ensure you are confident in understanding what the project does, you will then take a short quiz that will prepare you for the on-chain tasks to follow (note: passing the quiz is required to proceed and complete the tasks).
2. Earn — After completing a specific project’s quiz, users will go on to accomplish the project’s on and off-chain tasks. Once users perform all specified behaviors, they will be eligible to mint the project’s special Optimism Quest NFT on their Galxe campaign page. Holding the NFT may yield immediate and/or future utility from the project(s).

It’s Go Time!

A total of 18 projects are leveraging the Galxe infrastructure and running this campaign. The large amount of project participation gives users an opportunity to accrue a multitude of NFTs as they explore the OP ecosystem. After passing each projects’ quiz, the tasks required to complete their Quests are below:

Project 1: Pika

Tasks:

• Open a trade (with margin of at least 30 USDC)
• Add liquidity to the USDC vault(with amount of at least 30 USDC which is locked for 3 days)

Project 2: Rubicon

Tasks:

• Swap tokens (>$20)
• Provide liquidity in a pool (>$20)
• Follow @rubicondefi on Twitter
• Join Rubicon’s Discord server
• Additional Rewards: Explorer role in the Rubicon Discord

Project 3: Velodrome

Tasks:

• Add 20 USD as LP to a stable pool (e.g., USDC-DAI) and stake it
• Follow Velodrome on Twitter
• Additional rewards: 5 OP to the first 1000 successful campaigners

Project 4: Perpetual Protocol

Tasks:

• Place a trader on Perp with the requirement that the position size is at least 100USDC
• Additional Rewards: All Perp Fi traders who participated in Optimism Quests will get a special NFT as a reward

Project 5: Quix

Tasks:

• Purchase an NFT on Quix (min purchase .0099 ETH)
• Follow @qx_app on Twitter
• Additional Rewards: Galax Discord Role / Entered in a Bored Town / NFT Giveaway (5 Winners)

Project 6: Pool Together

Tasks:

• Deposit ≥ $20 into PoolTogether on Optimism
• Follow PoolTogether on Twitter

Project 7: Lyra

Tasks:

• Trade > $100 in premiums on Lyra
• Follow Lyra on Twitter

Project 8: Hop Protocol

Tasks:

• Provide liquidity to a Hop AMM on Optimism. Meet any of the following requirements (or a combination) will be eligible:
• Examples for stablecoins:
• $200 for 3 months ($18,250/200 =91.25 days)
• $500 for 1 month ($18,250/500 =36.6 days)
• $1000 for 18 days ($18,250/1000 =18.25 days)
• $2000 for 9 days ($18,250/2000 =9.125 days)
  etc.
• Examples for $ETH:
• 0.2 ETH for 60 days (12/0.2 = 60 days)
• 0.3 ETH for 40 days (12/0.3 = 40 days)
  *0.5 ETH for 24 days (12/0.5 = 24 days)
• 1 ETH for 12 days (12/1 = 12 days)

Project 9: Granary Finance

Tasks:

• Lend 50$ worth of assets on the Granary
• Borrow 20$ worth of assets on the Granary
• Follow Granary on Twitter
• Join Granary’s Discord
• Additional Rewards: Future airdrop of our Token if all tasks are completed (per snapshots) / NFT airdrop of future NFT project / Discord role to holders of this NFT

Project 10: Stargate Finance

Tasks:

• Bridge a minimum of $100 USDC to OR from Optimism on Stargate Finance
• Additional rewards: Stargate will be running a limited oNFT promotion for people that mint the Stargate OP badge

Project 11: Clipper

Tasks:

• Deposit > $20 OP main pool • Swap > $2 0OP main pool
• Make a deposit or swap > $20 OP in any OP Cove
• Follow Clipper on Twitter
• Follow Shipyard on Twitter
• Join Clipper’s Discord
• Additional Rewards: Display the NFT in Clipper’s character profile inventory screen

Project 12: Kwenta

Tasks:

• Open a position worth at least $100 notional
• Connect your Discord to Kwenta
• Follow Kwenta on Twitter *Note: On-chain task will be changed when cross margin launches
• Once cross margin launches, the task will be switched to open $100 notional in a cross margin wallet Additional Rewards Earning “The League” role in Kwenta’s Discord

Project 13: Beethoven

Tasks:

• In October, invest at least the equivalent of 0.05 ETH or rETH into Rocket Fuel pool, stake the BPT and leave it staked for at least 24h (all times in UTC)
• In November, invest at least the equivalent of 0.05 ETH or rETH into Rocket Fuel pool, stake the BPT and leave it staked for at least 24h (all times in UTC)
• In December, invest at least the equivalent of 0.05 ETH or rETH into Rocket Fuel pool, stake the BPT and leave it staked for at least 24h (all times in UTC)

Project 14: Uniswap

Tasks:

• Swap $20 work of tokens on Uniswap between at least 2 swaps

Project 15: Synapse

Tasks:

• Deposit either $20 worth of ETH or stablecoins in Synapse’s stableswap LPs

Project 16: Mai Finance

Tasks:

• Follow Mai Finance on Twitter
• Like and Retweet the campaign launch tweet
• Join Discord to get “MAI Family” role
• Visit https://guide.qidao.community/
• Open a Vault
• Deposit OP or WETH
• Borrow at least 100 MAI (there’s 0% interest so users can keep it open without incurring in costs until repayment)
• Keep the “health ratio” within a certain range. If the vault has a fire🔥 next to it, it’s eligible
• OP will be airdropped to these users a week after they start borrowing
• On-chain tasks completed! (Snapshot will be updated weekly)
• *Notes on the CDR range: CDR is Collateral to Debt Ratio, a health ratio number that means the opposite of Loan To Value (LTV). Divide Collateral deposited by Debt and multiply by 100 to manually get this number…
• WETH has a minimum CDR of 130% so to be eligible users have to have their CDR between 155% and 400%
• OP has a minimum CDR of 155% so to be eligible users have to have their CDR between 180% and 425%

Project 17: Polynomial

Tasks:

• Have an active position in any of the Polynomial Earn v2 Vaults
• Follow Polynomial on Twitter OR Join Polynomial’s Discord

Project 18: Synthetix

Tasks:

• Stake a minimum of 100 SNX and claim weekly rewards at least twice

NOTE: Furthermore, Quest NFTs can be used to unlock different traits in [redacted].

Tier 1: Earn ≥4 distinct Quest NFTs to unlock [redacted]

Twitter Spaces

On September 14th, 15th, and 16th, Galxe held a trio of Twitter Spaces with Optimism and the 18 participating projects. Each Space was a short panel-like experience moderated by Optimism where each project shared about who they are, what they do, what sets them apart, and how to complete their Optimism Quest. Attendees of each space were able to claim a unique NFT, which may yield additional utility/rewards in the future.
